September 7th, 2001 — four days before the world changed forever. A group of Minneapolis DJ friends traveled to Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota to play what became one of the most memorable nights any of them would ever perform.
Lineup: DJ Typhoon · ATAX & NATO w/ MC Obliquity · Aeon & DJ Mercury · Isaac Anthony
Recordings
I had brought my PC to the event to record everything, however the original full-length recordings were lost. I think there may have even been issues with some of the other sets which is why only three CDR sets were ever burned, however only two recordings survive from the night:
DJ Typhoon – Live at Gustavus Adolphus
DJ Typhoon's trance set, the MC opens with an intro naming DJ Typhoon. Includes scratching on a couple of tracks. The audio was trimmed slightly from the original set to fit on CDR.ATAX & MC Obliquity – Live at Gustavus Adolphus
Drum 'n Bass set from ATAX with MC Obliquity on the mic. Scratching from ATAX throughout.Isaac Anthony
The only surviving CDR of Isaac Anthony's techno set was given to him years ago. If you have it and can rip it, please get in touch, it was sick.
